01 通知写作要点

通知作为英语写作的一种常见类型，不论是口头通知还是书面通知都有比较明确的格式要求。

 口头通知写作要点 

• 要有称呼用语。如：在正式场合用的Ladies and gentlemen,对学生用的Boys and girls等。
• 开头语和结束语都必不可少。
• 时态问题。口头通知是要告诉大家即将进行的活动，因此要以一般将来时为主。
• 人称问题。口头通知常用第二人称表示被通知的对象。

下面举个栗子

假如你是校学生会主席，新年即将到来。为了帮助你校的外国留学生更好地了解中国文化，学生会将为他们举办一个新年晚会。请你根据以下提示，用英语向他们发出口头通知。

1. 时间：下周五6：00—8：00；

2. 地点：教学楼101室；

​3. 内容：①唱中国歌；②比赛用筷子；③学习包饺子。

​Good afternoon, everyone. May I have your attention, please?

To help you have a better understanding of Chines e culture, the Students ‘Union will organize a New Year's party. You can sing Chinese songs, have a competition using chopsticks and learn how to make dumplings. These are all typical Chinese activities, and I believe you will have great fun.

The party will be in Room 101, Classroom Building at 6 p.m. next Friday. It will last about two hours. Please come and join the fun!

Thank you for your attention.

 书面通知写作要点 

• 通告注释上方的正中位置写上Notice/Memo（首字母必须大写）。
• 发出通知的单位一般写在注释结束后的右下角。
• 发出通知的日期一般写在右上角；单位和日期两项不可以省略。
• 通告不写称呼，也没有结束语。
• 通告的注释就是通告的内容，这是主体部分，包括通知的对象、事由、时间、地点（who、what、where、when）等，语言应简约明白，条理清楚，要求明确。

下面举个栗子

请根据提示写一份通知。

1. 10班在本周五晚上要开个英语晚会。

2. 晚饭后6:30在教室集合,晚会7:00开始。

3. 每个同学都要表演一个节目，内容不限。

4. 欢迎老师和全班同学参加。

Oct.18, 2004

An English evening party will be held on Friday Evening. Every one of our class is requested to be in the classroom at 6:30 after supper. The party will begin at 7:00 P.M. Each of the students should perform during the evening party. You may tell a story, sing a song, make a speech or read a poem and so on. All the teachers and students are welcome to attend our English evening.

Please be present on time.

02 便函写作要点

便函写作的内容及格式如下：

Date：(日期，如September 12, 2021)  

To：(收文人，如All Faculty)  

From：(发文人，如Jim B. Hardemann)  

Subject：(事由，如Faculty Meeting)  

其中，需要注意的地方包括：

• 在Date、To、From、Subject字样后填上相应的内容；
• 不用称呼和结尾礼词；
• 发文人的姓名首字母写在与正文末行空一行的地方。

Subject: Applicants for Sales Post
